Problem Space
Since the company has grown into a fully independent HR business segment, new business requirements raised: to create an active job board and design a process for a candidate to subscribe to the Talent Network.
Research
It's all started with the research to understand the user groups, their behaviours and needs.
A series of user interviews revealed certain pain points inside the internal processes that had to be addressed. Group surveys helped to collect desirable features people wanted to see when they apply for a job. And finally, creating user personas determined the level of details throughout the application journey.
Findings
Two categories (Employers and Candidates) mentioned that they need a quick service that would be easy to use in terms of uploading a resume, setting up the job alerts and finding the best match as well as some tips and tricks that might be valuable in HR industry. Recruiters said that the most important for them is to build the database that they could use for any future references. After collecting all this information from users and based on the company offerings, my structure looked like below.
Structure
Prototype
A series of low-fidelity prototypes were designed and tested with a group of people. After a few rounds of design revisions, the user flow started to reflect our business goals.
